Actualités mois de décembre 2024, classe Little Seed

December is always a very special month in the year. Days are getting shorter, there are runny noses and persistent coughs. It’s that time of year that we bring brightness into the classroom by lights around the beam, a little light reflecting Christmas tree and last but not least the decorations made by all the children in our class.

We welcomed Noham and his mother on Friday 13th. Noham will join us in the new year and we look forward to having him with us.

In the class room our Advent Calendar was represented by the little village on the hill consisting of paper houses numbered from 1-24 each containing little gifts for all children in our class.

Christmas gifts for the children’s family were made by decorating the lids of the glass pots with shells that Sylvie brought from her trip to Brittany in France. In addition, the pots were filled with local dried herbs mixed by the children with the salt originating from The Guérande Peninsula.

Each gift bag was painted and decorated with a colouring and season greetings. The children were very proud of their activities and creative achievement.

The children practised the songs for the Christmas Party. “C’est le Père Noël” from Henri Dès, “Quand le Père Noël vient me visiter” from Gérard Dalton and “Little Snowflake” from Super Simple Songs. You may have heard the children singing these songs at home before Tuesday 17th.

We were so lucky that Émilie, Alain and Basil joined us to practice all together outside in

conjuncture with the keyboard and drums before the big day!

The kitchen has been intensively used to prepare all the snacks for the Christmas party, including baked bread, chocolate dipped apple sprinkled with deliciousness, and mille-feuilles filled with cinnamon and sugar.

We all dressed-up for the occasion in our pyjama or wanzi on the last 2024 schoolday. We all took a turn on the catwalk showing our fashion. Thereafter we made our own sleeping masks before enjoying a especially copious lunch prepared by the parents. In the afternoon a Christmas story was read while all children were covered by large fleece blanket.

Thanking you all for making this month a special one. Wishing you happy holidays and the very

best for the year to come.

Looking forward to see you in 2025.
